Nantong Tigers Rugby Club was established in 2003 and since then has gone from strength to strength, an important figure in the steady development of rugby union, both the game and its culture, in the Chinese mainland.
Focussed on encouraging Chinese involvement, rather than seasoned expat players, the Tigers are actively engaged in all permutations of the game across China. The club competes in the annual Shanghai Bei Cup, with teams from across the region, expat and Chinese.
We boast full-time coaching staff, foreign and Chinese, dedicated sponsors, a clubhouse, wacky mascot and have recently taken up the ultimate gauntlet, starting a Chinese women's team.
Keep your eyes on this fast-growing endeavour, come down, lend us your support, and enjoy a jolly beer or two in the bar afterwards!
Training is on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 13:30 hours, all will be welcome! For further training information and game dates please contact us.
